Vocal ensembles and individual artists celebrate the start of VOICE MANIA with balcony concerts across all genres and with free admission in the streets of Vienna's city center: After last year's successes, BALCANTO is also resounding 12. year in a sound course from the Kohlmarkt over the Graben to Stephansplatz. At the unique fixed event in Europe at the opening of VOICE MANIA - International A Cappella Festival Vienna - passers-by can enjoy extraordinary listening experiences and a variety of acoustic impressions for evening-filling a cappella concerts 8. VOICE MANIA – International A Capella Festival in Vienna
VOICE MANIA is a music festival in Vienna dedicated to the art of a cappella singing, that is to say, music created exclusively with the human voice, without instrumental accompaniment. Every year international soloists and ensembles meet in Vienna to demonstrate that the voice is capable of much more than conventional singing.: with an unpredictable variety of sounds and rhythms that spans all genres, seduces and moves like an instrument in itself. The program includes classical music, jazz, pop, rock, folk, beatbox and vocal comedy.
The starting signal is given: the balconies of the houses, palaces and churches in the city center become islands of sound from which professional artists offer a cappella concerts. Passersby explore their own sound tour through the city; entry is free.
