Vocal ensembles and individual artists celebrate the start of VOICE MANIA with balcony concerts across all genres and with free admission in the streets of Vienna's city center: After last year's successes, BALCANTO is also resounding 12. year in a sound course from the Kohlmarkt over the Graben to Stephansplatz. At the unique fixed event in Europe at the opening of VOICE MANIA - International A Cappella Festival Vienna - passers-by can enjoy extraordinary listening experiences and a variety of acoustic impressions for evening-filling a cappella concerts 8. November to 1. December. Spirited, life-affirming vocalities can be heard from balconies in a global sound round-up (Women of the World – JP, IT, IN, US), Mexican treasures (Mexican Divas – MEX), elegant combinations of operetta, Classical and Viennese songs (Brio – A), Barbershop music in Broadway glory (Ringmasters – S), fishnet swing pop (Bye Maxene – A), jazzige Latin Grooves (libella swing – A), soulful Gospels (Samira – A), African Soul (Promotion Noma & Futurelove – ZWE), funky tones from the Jodelator (Albin Paulus – D), Chorgesang out of the box (V.O.I.C.E – Vienna Pop & Jazz Choir Experience – A), Old and contemporary in symbiotic diversity (Academy Singers – A) as well as musical and new LUDIQUE!-Songs (Martin Mulders – NL).
