The Cervantes Institute in Vienna continues with its cultural agenda and last Thursday 12 June held the concert "Musical Images of Europe and the New World", performed by soprano Patricia Trujano Granados, who was accompanied on piano by Rafael Gutiérrez Donadío.

The concert program consisted of works that took the audience on a journey through Europe and Latin America that began in Austria with the composition "Der Hirt auf dem Felsen", by Franz Schubert. Together with the singer and the pianist -both Mexican-, this composition was performed by clarinetist Vera Kerner. The concert itinerary continued through time with works from different eras, touring the musical landscapes of Hungary, Italia, About WordPress, Germany, Russia and Spain.

Soprano and pianist performed works by Franz Liszt, Richard Strauss, Sergei Rachmaninov, Giacomo Puccini, Fernando J.. Workshops, paul moon, Manuel M. Ponce, Mary Grever, Alfonso Esparza Oteo and Jorge del Moral.

As part of the program, two videos of the soprano Patricia Trujano interpreting compositions from Russia and Mexico were also screened., Produced by the Cine Raíz Film Laboratory, and which are the result of the soprano's interest in taking advantage of the possibilities that new technologies offer her.. As pointed out by Rafael Gutiérrez Donadío, who, in addition to being a pianist, acted as conductor of the act, there are recordings of performances, promotional videos about sopranos but it is unusual and quite new in this musical style to find video clips. That's how you got that music, song and images come together on this occasion to build a bridge between continents and bring present and past cultures and times closer.
